That Dreaded Time Of Year

It's the end of August and school is starting soon for so many young people. I have been out of high school for ten years but I still remember the dread of the end of summer and the beginning of school. I didn't like school very much (especially the parts that they made you do like English and PE). I did, however, like getting to see my friends again and going to the classes that I thought were interesting.

Now, ten years after I finished high school, I have decided to go back to school and will start college soon. I have enrolled at Full Sail University in the online Web Design & Development bachelors degree program. I am actually excited about going back and getting a degree.

There are a few reasons why I picked this program over lots of other choices. One of the major reasons is that it is an online program that I can do when I have the time to do it. This is extremely helpful because I am a husband, father, and business owner and I can't just take off for four years to get a degree. Another reason that I liked this program is that it is a 27 month schedule of courses with one class a month and that is helpful for the same reasons I just stated. The next big reason for choosing Full Sail University is their Project LaunchBox. This is a program that provides every student with a MacBook Pro loaded with pro level software like Adobe CS5 Master Collection and Microsoft Office 2008:Mac as well as some other cool software like MobileMe, iLife, and iWork. Full Sail University has also built their student portal around the Mac platform so everything is very well integrated and they have a full-time staff of support personnel in case something goes wrong or you need help.

I will start this brand new adventure on the 27th of September and by the middle of 2013 I should have a BS in Web Design & Development. This is going to be fun!
