I rode down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with Ryan Weaver today Feb. 24, 2009 for a cell leadership training session tomorrow with Joel Comisky and Mario Vega. Joel Comiskey, name-sake of the Joel Comiskey Group, is a cell-church guru based in California and Mario Vega is the lead pastor of the second largest church in the world, Elim, in El Salvador. Weav and I had some awesome conversations about dreams and plans for the future.
Once we got here we went out to dinner with the crew from Allen Memorial. Afterwards a trip to Krispy Kreme was deemed neccessary and right in the eyes of God. Once our stomachs had been filled with the warm and sugary goodness that is the glazed Krispy Kreme donought we headed back to the hotel where we have mostly been sitting in the lobby working online.
I'm excited about the near future and the things God is doing to prepare us for it. This is an amazing opportunity to sit with the leading cell-church guys in the world and learn from their successes and their failures. God has great plans for the 20-something group in Salisbury, MD and he is preparing us to reach them.
Thank you Father for your plan and allowing us to be your tools to reach those that you love and have given us a burden for.
