I am saddened by the abject hatred of Rob Bell and the desire to destroy him as a pastor and a person. Rob Bell has written a book called Love Wins about Heaven and Hell that has the Christian community up in arms. I have not read the book and I don't think most of the "pundits" have either. It is sad to see people spending their time and energy fighting against ideas and words they haven't even read yet.
How are we supposed to trust what you have to say about a subject that you know nothing about? I am looking forward to reading the book and seeing what Bell has to say himself. I am not thrown by the marketing campaign that seems to suggest that God will just let everyone into Heaven in the end. The marketing campaign is working extraordinarily well in my opinion. This book has received more attention than any of his other books as far as I can tell, and I think more people will pick up a copy of the book to see what it says because it has pissed off so many of the Christian elites.
Rob Bell has an interesting writing style that poses a lot of questions and lets you decide for yourself. If you are gullible enough to fall into an idiotic state of mind by judging a book before you've read it then you are a useless fool.
Don't misunderstand me I am not defending the book because I have not read it yet, but I will not condemn it either for the same reason. I have more sense and self-respect than to be duped, by a well thought out marketing drive, into calling Bell a heretic and "false prophet". If, after I read the book, I have problems with it then I will happily point them out.
Read the book for yourself and make your decision afterwards. I know I will.

Well said! Thanks for sharing :).
